A. Are you referring to the Synaptic Package Manager? Everything is downloaded into /var/cache/apt or /var/cache/apt/archives
If it is from Firefox or Chrome/Chromium, by default it will be in you download folder ~/Downolads (Note: the Tilde means /home/user or is your [the active users] home folder)

How to get pictures to post on Craigslist on Linux Mint?
Q. I'm posting an ad on Craigslist, and my dad downloaded Linux Mint (Dumbest program ever!), and I don't know how to get pictures off of the SD Card that I have plugged in. How do I retrieve the pictures off of the SD card on Linux Mint?
Thank you!
Thank you!
A. Whichever photo manager is installed on your version of Mint (most likely F-Spot, but possibly Shotwell) should be set to open once a drive with photo media is detected. Your father may not have set that up when he installed Mint, so maybe that's why it didn't launch.
You'll have to manually launch the photo manager, and after that it's simple to import the files to the "Photos" folder in Nautilus.

How can i install the new linux mint and pclinux os with out a cd/dvd or a flash drive?
Q. Do you guys know of any good tutorials to download linux mint and pclinuxos with out a cd dvd or falsh drive i need a good tutorial im new to this :)
A. If you do not wish to tamper with a real system, you may try Virtual Box by Oracle. In that case you will not need any CD/DVD or Flash Drive either.
Just download the CD image and mount it on a virtual CD/DVD ROM like Daemon Tools.
