How do I play Minecraft on Linux?

Q. The title says it all.

A. Last time I checked. You can't really. I know allot of people were able to boot it up. But every time they hit a key to do something in the game; it would go back to the main menu.

What Linux should I use to host a Minecraft Server?
Q. I'm wanting to host a minecraft server on my Acer Aspire One. I think Linux would be the best and fastest way. Which Linux should I use?

A. debian is the way to go, or maybe ubuntu if youve never used linux and dont plan on learning to much about it. any server ran on windows usually ends up being a piece of $hit

how can i get minecraft for linux or mozilla firefox?
Q. please help i´l give max stars and is it posible to do this?

To get an updated client in the future, you can get the download from here:
http://www.minecraft.net/download
and just click on "all platforms" to show the link for Max and Linux.

To play it on a web browser, such as Firefox, you can go to...

and choose which one you want to play (beta or classic). located on the right of the site.
